July Update

SAVE THE PUMPKIN PATCH is the priority on the farm these days. We continued hauling water to keep the gardens and roses going but with the pumpkin patch over 1 acre in size it was not advantageous to haul water for them.  We left the patch alone to fend for itself, but now it’s time to pull all the weeds and let the survivors thrive.

We had a Great Poker Run this year and I’d like to thank Marty Cornett for pulling it all together – she really went above and beyond for this one. Thanks to all those supporters who came out to enjoy the day for a great cause. Our veterans and their families really need us.  Your support for the Freedom Farm allows us to assist more of them, to get what they need and deserve.

Our deliveries to the Holy Trinity food pantry have continued but the yeald has been low this year. Hopefully, with the rain we’ve have lately the tomatos will produce well and make up for the loss of other vegetables.

Thanks to Jennifer Billock we are now on Facebook so stop by and say ‘Hi’.
