Last weekend, May 6th and 7th, over the course of both days we had over 100 young men and women from the Navy out on the farm volunteering their weekend to help us get ready for our upcoming event.
One of the major projects they worked on was the addition of the new siding and windows on the barn. They also moved a small fence line for us to move our ducks and chickens back into the back pasture where they pond is. Some of the crew also repainted the white fence between the chicken yard and our big pasture. We had some guys and gals tamping post holes on our big pasture fence that was installed last summer. And then there was also help with general clean up around the farm, straightening supplies and getting things in order. Break time brought socializing with our chickens and horses as well as having some lunch and playing Frisbee and catch with the kids.
We cannot thank you all enough for spending your weekend with us and helping us tremendously on the farm. But most importantly, we thank you for your service and sacrifice to our country. Below is just some of the photos, please visit our Facebook page to see them all.
